Why surveyors use us

Cover the fabric you cannot reach safely.

You own the professional judgment. We deliver high-resolution exterior imagery and visual anomaly highlights for roofs, valleys, chimneys, and elevations across the Solent.

  • 01

    Hard-to-reach coverage

Flat roofs, steep pitches, rear elevations, and chimney stacks without arranging scaffold for a first visual pass.

  • 02

    Evidence clients understand

A secure link with marked stills they can share with solicitors, roofers, or insurers—alongside your report, not instead of it.

  • 03

    Tight timelines

Typical turnaround within 24 hours of flight—useful when exchange dates or lender queries will not wait.

How it works

You instruct. We fly. You interpret.

Postcode, access notes, and what you need covered. We confirm fly-zone (including airport FRZ) and a fixed price.

FAQ

Common questions from surveyors.

Are you competing with RICS surveyors?
No. Solent Aero only provides aerial imaging and visual defect highlights. We do not issue surveyor opinions, HomeBuyer Reports, valuations, or structural advice. You remain the professional; we capture what is hard to reach from the ground.
How do surveyors typically use the report?
As supporting imagery for elevations, valleys, chimneys, and flat roofs you cannot safely or quickly inspect from ladders—or as a fast first look when a client asks for roof condition before you attend.
Can clients instruct you directly?
Yes. Home buyers and agents often book us and share the link with their surveyor. You can also instruct us yourself when you need aerial coverage as part of a wider instruction.
Does this replace a roof void inspection?
No. We cannot see inside voids, under coverings, or defects hidden beneath tiles and membranes. Exterior visual capture only—useful alongside your usual inspection methods.
How fast is turnaround?
Typically within 24 hours of the flight. Useful when exchange timing is tight or you need elevation evidence before writing up.
How much does it cost?
Standard residential roofs start from £249. Larger or multi-elevation buildings are quoted. CAA registered and fully insured. Sites inside Southampton Airport FRZ may include a small approval fee.
